I wasn't arguing which was more fun. Of course a manual tranny is more fun. Effin' DHU! I didn't bring up driving "aids," such as traction control, either. You're mostly preaching to the choir. Not many new cars excite me because they're loaded down with worthless electronics and added passive safety features, but transmissions that make the vehicle faster than it would be with a manual tranny are at least a step in a direction towards better performance, whether you feel like a man while limp-wristing paddles to shift or not.
